There are two options available to professionals wanting to be trained in the program
Workshops
As a professional working with young children you can participate in an interactive FUN FRIENDS training workshop over one full day. People who are trained on how to run FUN FRIENDS can then implement it at their school or child care centre and make the program part of the curriculum to develop emotional and social skills in young children.
Once they have completed the one-day workshop participants become fully certified Fun FRIENDS facilitators. Workshops have been completed by teachers, teacher aides, learning support staff, child carers, parents, psychologists, guidance officers, counsellors, speech pathologists and music therapists.
FRIENDS workshop registration forms and associated documentation can be obtained by emailing training@pathwayshrc.com.au. The registration form includes all upcoming workshop dates in capital cities Australia-wide.
Staff In-services
If your school or organisation has a large number of staff wanting to be trained in the FUN FRIENDS program, we can send an accredited Fun Friends trainer to you to run a one-day staff inservice. All participants will become fully certified Fun FRIENDS facilitators once they have completed the one-day workshop, allowing you to make the program part of the curriculum in your school. Examples of other groups who have completed the training include Foster Care Trainers, Guidance Officers, Child Care Centres and Preschools.
If your school or organisation is interested in finding out more information please contact Gabby Turner on 0417 222 066 or email to training@pathwayshrc.com.au
Feedback from Workshop Participant
“Great! Fits into our current curriculum well and seems so simple to implement.”
Teacher, Victoria
“What a fantastic program! There is a real lack of validated programs that build social-emotional strength in our children. Fun Friends fills this gap and is fun and engaging. I can’t wait to implement this in my classroom. It is great to attend training where the presenter is so passionate and enthusiastic. Thanks for an inspiring workshop!”

“There are an increasing number of students who are anxious and whose parents are also anxious; therefore it is important for teachers to also learn some strategies to help all students to cope better.”
